The Waiting Room

My first novel. Five souls have passed on and arrive simultaneously in what can best be described as a Waiting Room. They all share their stories of their time on earth before making a startling discovery that shakes each of them to their core.

1.28.26 UPDATE!!! – yeah, it’s been a long search, but I finally got the feedback from my final editor. Now, I have a lot of work to do. I need to go through the book one more time incorporating the suggested edits from my editor. Then, I need to buy the domain rights to MAD PUBLICATIONS. With that, I can set up an email account. Once I get that, I can start a TikTok channel for MAD Publications and start promoting The Waiting Room. Then, I get my friend to design the cover art. Then, I figure out how to upload it all to Amazon for publishing. And then I let the world know it’s out there.

5.12.24 I just got final feedback from one of my last expert. I have made the suggested edits. I am now on the hunt for an editor. It appears that a professional editor can go for anywhere between $2,500 to $10,000 and more. So, I’m starting by looking at colleges with Creative Writing Programs to see if I can connect with a MFA student who would be willing to do this with me. Still hoping to get this done by July 2024. 3.14.24 I have been working on this for years. There was a lot of research that went into creating this book with a lot of help from experts far more knowledgeable than me. The last of those experts is reading through it right now. After that, I will have an editor go through one last time to make sure all i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed. I’m hoping to have this for sale by July 2024. Stay tuned.
